Every month I order restaurant supplies from 16 different companies. Each bill fluctuates from month to month, so I don’t know our monthly profit margin until I add up all the bills. This requires my utmost attention to detail to make sure everyone gets paid the correct amount. The only bill that never surprises and never changes is for our online ordering system.
Unlike my food and restaurant supplies; my online ordering system costs the same every month, regardless of how much we used it! If I use 30 cans of tomato paste in a month, I will pay twice as much as if I used only 15 cans. In regards to my online ordering restaurant supply, I pay the same for 50 orders as I do for one hundred!

The other variable involved in restaurant supplies is predicting what will be needed. We are giving our customers a total experience and if they show up to find we are out of napkins or bread, they will have a bad experience. It is up to me to determine how much to buy and when to spend money on something new. I cannot afford to order too little and I cannot afford to order too much.
Since we started accepting online orders, we have had to order a good deal more restaurant supplies to keep up with the demand. Our sales per month are continually growing. More and more families do not have the time to prepare a good meal at the end of a long day and they find it very easy to order online with us. This was one of the happiest realizations we had about our online ordering system.
